Our First Visitors, Part 2, Day 3, Napa!

After our whirlwind day in the city, we got up bright and early (like meet at 8am) and headed to Napa for a fun day full of tastings! We all piled in a 15 passenger van (no lie) with our coffee and headed to the valley!

Since it was so early, we started off with bubbles at Mumm Napa. We got a few different tastings so we got to taste all their different sparkling wines. It was such a beautiful day out in the valley. Of course, we took tons of pics!

haha, how awkward are we?
Next we headed to Auberge du Soleil (again! We love this place) for lunch. Since we were on a tight schedule, we ate and headed out to our next stop.
Garguilo Vineyards- This was by far my favorite stop of the day, and possibly my new favorite. The grounds were just beautiful and the wines were delish!

Next up was V Madrone. CL absolutely fell in love with their petite syrah. I won't disagree with him!

Our fourth and final stop was Lava Vine. This place was just fun. It's super laid back which is a nice change from all the other wineries. We had a seriously good time while we were there- CL even played a little bass!

At this point, we had gotten a little rowdy. I mean, we closed the joint down. There was wild, loud laughter, some spilled olive oil, kisses from the wine guys, and tiny bicycles. Fun, I tell ya, fun.
Yup, thats my Grandmother. Double fisting. Proud granddaughter right here!
See? told ya, absolutely silly.

I LOVE my grandparents!

On the way home we stopped in Sausalito for dinner at Salito's Crab House and Prime Rib on the water. Veronica and I looked at each other and were like "Crab?!" and yes, the two of us devoured two delicious, ginormous crabs. They were goooooood!
After dinner, we headed home for a good nights rest! Drinking all that wine is hard work! ;)

The final days 4 &5 up next! Stay tuned!

Our First Visitors! Days 1-2

We have been so lucky to have had lots of visitors since we have moved out here. They have been coming in waves, so it's been non-stop fun!

First up was my Mom, Momadear and Granddaddy! It was SO good to see them! It had been months since we had seen them, and I was just starting to get homesick so it was perfect timing getting to see them!

Thursday started off hanging out, just Mom and me! I got to take her to my fav, Peet's Coffee, then back to my apartment to see the doggies and to see our apartment. We then took a small tour around town, and we were able to swing by Colby's office and say hello!
We then met up with Veronica, Momadear, Granddaddy and my Uncle Garry for lunch in Los Gatos. It was so nice to have everyone together, sitting outside, catching up and enjoying the beautiful weather!
Later that afternoon, a few of us headed over to Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos for the first of many wine tastings over the weekend! We got there right in time! As we were wrapping up our tasting an entire wedding party arrived for their wedding rehearsal!

For dinner that night, we all headed over to Dio Deka. It was so yummy! We all ate, a lot (!) then headed home. We had a big day ahead of us!
this house has a chair that just sits outside like this. all the time. CR-EEPY.
Friday, we got up early and headed into San Francisco for the day! It had been a long time since my Mom or grandparents had been, so we got to do a lot of fun touristy things!

We started off at the beach where CL and I got engaged! It has a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, so it was a perfect photo op!

After the beach, we headed over to the Palace of Fine Arts. I had never been there, so it was really cool to stop and enjoy it!

We drove down Lombard Street (I giggled the whole time!) and meandered around Ghirardelli Square.

I finally got to try Umami Burger for lunch, and it was yummy, yall! And Mexican Coke, swoon!
Chanel purse party at lunch!

After lunch, we headed to Coit Tower and actually went up! It was a little sktechy in the elevator, but we made it up and down and got to enjoy a beautiful view of the city. We even walked the Filbert Steps. Hence the seriously sore hamstrings the next day!
The view from the top of the Coit Tower!

 This lighting? Amazing, huh?
Before dinner, we enjoyed happy hour at Top of the Mark before heading to Le Colonial to eat. It was such a fun, memory filled day, and this was the best way to end it! The food at Le Colonial was so good. I can't wait to go back! The restaurant is in the original Trader Vic's!

I don't look le tired at all... not.

Part two and three, days 3-5 coming up next!
