Our First Visitors, the Final Days 4-5!

As the weekend wound down, we were all getting a little restless, so a Sunday morning hike was definitely overdue! We all met in Los Gatos on Sunday morning and hit the trail! We brought the dogs, and it was quite the trek!
The views in the area are just unreal. We are really lucky to be living here!

After the hike, we decided to take a leisurely drive out to Santa Cruz. It was a beautiful (cold) day at the beach. We even stumbled upon a kayak surf competition and walked around the Santa Cruz Surf Museum.
We hit the pier for a late lunch at Stagnaro Bros. Restaurant. They had the most delicious smoked salmon, oh my. It was so freaking good!
There were even some lazy sea lions sun bathing. They are really like dog mermaids. Think about it...
We then cruised to Capitola and walked around the village.  It was just so nice to be with the family at the beach again. It had been too long!
We called it an early evening, everyone was exhauted from the previous days adventures. Momadear and Granddaddy had an early flight, and my mom had a later flight, so I got to spend Monday with her. We went shopping (duh!) It was so nice to get to spend a few extra hours with just her. I really do miss everyone, but we really love living here. Its so crazy how your heart can be pulled in two different states!
The weekend was just fabulous and I cannot wait until they come to visit again!

Our First Visitors, Part 2, Day 3, Napa!

After our whirlwind day in the city, we got up bright and early (like meet at 8am) and headed to Napa for a fun day full of tastings! We all piled in a 15 passenger van (no lie) with our coffee and headed to the valley!

Since it was so early, we started off with bubbles at Mumm Napa. We got a few different tastings so we got to taste all their different sparkling wines. It was such a beautiful day out in the valley. Of course, we took tons of pics!
haha, how awkward are we?
Next we headed to Auberge du Soleil (again! We love this place) for lunch. Since we were on a tight schedule, we ate and headed out to our next stop.
Garguilo Vineyards- This was by far my favorite stop of the day, and possibly my new favorite. The grounds were just beautiful and the wines were delish!

Next up was V Madrone. CL absolutely fell in love with their petite syrah. I won't disagree with him!

Our fourth and final stop was Lava Vine. This place was just fun. It's super laid back which is a nice change from all the other wineries. We had a seriously good time while we were there- CL even played a little bass!
At this point, we had gotten a little rowdy. I mean, we closed the joint down. There was wild, loud laughter, some spilled olive oil, kisses from the wine guys, and tiny bicycles. Fun, I tell ya, fun.
Yup, thats my Grandmother. Double fisting. Proud granddaughter right here!
See? told ya, absolutely silly.
I LOVE my grandparents!

On the way home we stopped in Sausalito for dinner at Salito's Crab House and Prime Rib on the water. Veronica and I looked at each other and were like "Crab?!" and yes, the two of us devoured two delicious, ginormous crabs. They were goooooood!
After dinner, we headed home for a good nights rest! Drinking all that wine is hard work! ;)

The final days 4 &5 up next! Stay tuned!
