our last 8 months. a list.

hello world! coming at you live from our new cozy apartment in san jose, california! i thought this blog would be a great way for everyone to keep up with us and our crazy adventures!  the last 8 months have been an absolute crazy whirlwind- here's the short list.

• we got married! may 12, 2012 was the most magical day.
• we went to vieques, puerto rico on our honeymoon. we stayed at the w resort and spa. it was fan-freaking-tastic. i recommend this destination to everyone. it was bliss.
• we celebrated birthdays. #27 for me and #29 for colby. yes. that means there is a 30th birthday this august... vegas!
• we also celebrated our niece's 1st birthday in dallas. she is SO. DAMN. CUTE.
• we worked. a lot.
• we basically forgot about summer. see above. no river trips. no pools. cold beers, yes. but no large expanses of water.
• i bought a new car. my adorable white jetta. i love it. and i love that worked my ass off to buy it.
• we made a lot of really good friends. like quality, exceptional friends. we miss them terribly already. don't worry, we will be back to austin soon to visit!
• colby got a new job and quit dell. oh yea, the new job? located in northern california. hello move!
• we celebrated the holidays in austin and houston. it was a lot of fun and great to see and spend time with everyone before we moved to san jose!
• we moved. yup. we packed up all our stuff (we sold most of our larger ticket items) in a big yellow penske truck, hooked the jetta on the back, and DROVE for 3 days to san jose!
• we celebrated the new year in lake tahoe with great friends. it was the best way to bring in the new year!

we are getting settled in the new place. its MUCH bigger than we expected-- which is a good thing. i'll post some photos soon! (or as soon as we get furniture!!)
